Ultrafine: premier fine leaf perennial ryegrass range

Ultrafine is the leading fine leaf perennial ryegrass range from Barenbrug, offering three superior products tailored for fine turf areas requiring close mowing and high wear tolerance. This range is designed to withstand weather extremes and the demands of sports courses and players, providing durable and high-quality turf solutions. Central to the Ultrafine range is Barolympic, a standout variety scoring high in the BSPB G4 Turfgrass Seed table, known for its superior quality in close-mown turf. The Ultrafine line also introduced Barpersie, in 2024, which excels in wear tolerance, shoot density, and visual merit, with promising preliminary scores that enhance the reputation of Ultrafine 100 as the premier choice for summer sports ryegrass blends.

SOS®: quick germination even at low temperatures

Barenbrug's SOS®, which stands for Super Over Seeding, is a carefully formulated grass seed mix from Barenbrug's team of specialists. Sports fields are played on day in, day out, and it's no surprise that open spots in the turf appear during the colder months. Ordinary grasses often lack sufficient light and temperature to successfully fill in these spots. This is where SOS® makes a difference. SOS® germinates very quickly, even at low temperatures starting from 4°c, thereby offering the ideal solution for sports fields. Thanks to this innovative mix, the grass grows early in the spring, even before other lawn or sports field managers start their grass maintenance, making open spots a thing of the past.

SGT®: revolutionising turf management

Sustainable Grass Technology (SGT) is Barenbrug’s innovative approach to turf management, focused on delivering high-performance grass varieties under stress conditions while minimising the need for fertilisers, chemicals, and water.
