Barolympic is the market-leading cultivar ryegrass for summer sports use. It is ranked with a score of 8.6 in Table G4 of Turfgrass Seed 2024, the highest mean score in the entire publication, and comfortably above the next best variety in this close-mown test.
Barolympic is ranked #1 for pale colour and for fineness of leaf in Table G4. This makes it exceptionally easy to blend in with other grass species, such as red fescue or annual meadowgrass.
The red fescue cultivars Bodega, Viktorka and Barpearl are strong performers, ranked #11, #10 and #12 in their respective tables in Turfgrass Seed, and help to maintain outstanding aesthetics and density.
