Happy New Year and welcome to the first edition of BarTech, our monthly update of what is happening at Barenbrug!

At the start of each month we hope to bring you information on our new varieties and mixtures, Soil Health & Nutrition, Protein and Herbal crops and mixture options for short term crops after potatoes, maize and cereals.

To get 2020 off to a flying start, please see below details of our grass varieties for 2020, bred on your doorstep at AFBI Loughgall. This year, we are delighted to launch the new late Diploid Perennial Ryegrass, Callan. Callan has been bred as a replacement for the familiar variety, Tyrella and will bring excellent Spring growth coupled with high annual yields and nutritional quality. With an already impressive portfolio of AFBI bred grasses in our mixtures, Callan only strengthens our commitment to providing the best swards for local farmers.
