FEATURES & BENEFITS

New for 2024. The choice of grasses for outer roughs can make a huge difference to the visual appearance and playability of a golf course, not to mention serving a habitat for wildlife. OPEN ROUGH has been designed to produce an attractive, open textured sward that is visually appealing whilst at the same time being playable.

The use of slower growing grass species combined with the reduced sowing rate creates a rough that, subject to soil fertility, will not develop into a dense rough that 'swallows' golf balls.

Crested dogstaill and hard fescue are both early flowering species. This means that they will produce a seed head earlier in the year, giving excellent definition and aesthetics.

Optional additional species - Sweet Vernal, Small Leaf Timothy, Yellow Oatgrass, Quaking Grass, Wavy Hairgrass, Tufted Hairgrass. Please enquire with your Barenbrug distributor or representative for further details on bespoke options.
